This site is dedicated to our famaily members that have passed in our lives they will all be missed.
This page is dedicated to Our Aunt, Cathy Torres Cuebas, who passed on to the heavens on September 1,2005. I know my uncle Louie and cousin Louis will miss Cathy.
We know that God is watching over her and she will be watching over us. Cathy will be in our prayers every night. We will miss her dearly. Cathy was someone that you could talk to and she would always give you the best advice. I love and respect her. Cathy will always be in my thoughts and she will be at my wedding in spirit.
From Tony, This is for all of you out there that have been touched by the love and Knowledge of my Titi Cathy. For a women who had only given birth to one child named Louis, she gave life to so many of us. It is for this reason that many of us have lost a mother, not an aunt, not a friend. When many of us had a problem with life we were never judged, right or wrong. This is not to say that she was a push over. She never held her tongue and told you how it was whether you liked it or not. Never have I met anyone person who has touched so many. She will be missed by all and forgotten by none. Cathy's body may have left us, but she lives on in so many of us. Love you forever Tony Cuebas

This is written for a special Aunt (Cathy). Though I was not close to her the past few years. I still had a lot of love for her. I do remember all the times that she was in my life before. I always respected her for her boldness. She always told everyone exactly what she thought and felt she didn't care if you like what she said or not. She always tried to keep the family together and close. We think we have so much time to catch up with people that we love and want to have in our life but God always has a different plan. I know that she is in a better place and no longer suffering. She is another angel looking down on us. She will always have a special place in my heart. MAY SHE REST IN PEACE LOVE CAMELIA & FAMILY
CATHY ---- THE MOST OPTIMISTIC PERSON I EVER MET. A PERSON WHO ALWAYS PUT OTHERS BEFORE HERSELF. A NUTURING SOUL. THE MOST UNSELFISH PERSON I HAVE EVER KNOWN. A MOTHERLY INSTINCT – ALWAYS LISTENING AND GIVING CARING GUIDANCE TO OTHERS. A SELF-STARTER. MOTIVATED. LOYAL. DEDICATED. EFFICIENT. ORGANIZED. AND SHE MADE WORK FUN. CATHY HAD CHARISMA. SHE WAS WELL KNOWN IN THE INDUSTRY. SHE WAS LOVED AND RESPECTED BY ALL – EVERYONE WHO WAS LUCKY ENOUGH TO HAVE HER IN THEIR LIVES. SHE LOVED CHALLENGES. IF YOU WANTED SOMETHING DONE, NO MATTER HOW DIFFICULT, YOU GAVE IT TO CATHY. SHE NEVER WHINED. SHE DIDN’T KNOW HOW. SHE JUST GOT THE JOB DONE. SHE WAS AN EXCELLENT MEDIATOR. SHE TRIED TO MAKE SURE EVERYONE GOT ALONG. IT WAS AMAZING HOW PEOPLE KNEW THEY COULD CONFIDE IN HER. YOU KNEW YOU COULD TRUST HER. SHE WAS ALWAYS IN TUNE WITH EVERYONE’S FEELINGS. YOU COULDN’T FOOL CATHY (AT LEAST I COULDN’T). SHE BELIEVED IN PEOPLE AND SHE BELIEVED IN HERSELF. SHE RAN THE PERSONAL LINES DEPARTMENT WITH TENACITY. I THINK SHE WAS WAITING TO PROVE HERSELF BUT NO ONE ELSE EVER GAVE HER A CHANCE. CATHY WAS A VERY INTELLIGENT WOMAN BUT I THINK SHE HAS THE SAME PROBLEM AS PRESIDENT BUSH. SOMETIMES SHE WOULD USE THE WRONG WORD IN A SENTENCE – A WORD THAT SOUNDED SIMILAR BUT MEANT SOMETHING DIFFERENT. WE ALL KNEW WHAT SHE WAS TALKING ABOUT AND WHAT SHE MEANT, BUT SOMETIMES YOU WOULD HAVE TO LAUGH OUT LOUD. WE CALLED THEM CATHYISMS. IT JUST MADE HER MORE SPECIAL. IT NEVER STOPPED HER SUCCESS. SHE COULD SELL ANYTHING TO ANYBODY. IT WAS JUST ANOTHER THING TO LOVE ABOUT HER. PROMOTING HER TO MANAGER WAS THE BEST MOVE I EVER MADE. IT WAS GREAT TO WATCH HER BLOSSOM – WATCH HER MOTIVATE HER DEPARTMENT AND MAKE IT GROW. ALL BY HERSELF. HER ABILITY AND MANY TALENTS NEVER CAME FROMA SCHOOL OR A BOOK. HER GIFTS CAME TO HER NATURALLY AND STRAIGHT FROM HER HEART. WE REALLY GOT TO KNOW EACH OTHER OVER THE YEARS. WE BECAME CLOSE. DON’T FORGET YOU PROBABLY SPEND MORE AWAKE TIME WITH YOUR CO-WORKERS THAN YOU DO WITH YOUR SPOUSE. PEOPLE HAVE SAID CATHY AND I BICKERED LIKE AN OLD MARRIED COUPLE. THERE ARE THREE WOMEN IN MY LIFE I LOVE – MY MOTHER THELMA, MY WIFE JOEY, AND MY OFFICE WIFE CATHY. I WANT TO THANK HER HUSBAND LOUIE AND HER SON LOUIS FOR SHARING CATHY’S LOVE WITH ME. THERE ARE ONLY A FEW PEOPLE IN OUR LIFETIMES THAT TOUCH OUR LIVES DEEPLY. CATHY WAS ONE OF THOSE PEOPLE. SHE WAS NOT A TAKER. SHE WAS A GIVER. IF SHE SAW SOMETHING AND THOUGHT YOU’D LIKE IT, SHE GOT IT FOR YOU – SHE DIDN’T NEED AN OCCASION. SHE COULD SENSE YOUR PAIN OR FRUSTRATION AND, WITHOUT THINKING, REACHED OUT TO YOU TO OFFER YOU COMFORT. SHE HAD A GENEROSITY OF SPIRIT – A BEAUTIFUL SOUL – THAT IS SO RARE IN THIS WORLD. EVEN THROUGH HER PAINFUL ILLNESS SHE HAD NO SELF-PITY, NEVER SAYING “POOR ME” – OR “WHY ME”. SHE FOUGHT TO THE END WITH DIGNITY. SHE WAS MY INSPIRATION. SHE IS MY INSPIRATION. SHE WILL ALWAYS BE MY INSPIRATION. I’LL ALWAYS BE SAYING, “WHAT WOULD CATHY HAVE DONE?” I’LL WONDER IF I’M BEING THE GOOD PERSON SHE BELIEVED ME TO BE. I’LL WONDER IF I’M HONORING HER MEMORY BY TRYING TO BE MORE LIKE HER. I KNOW SHE SAID SHE DIDN’T WANT ME TO GRIEVE, BUT I CAN’T HELP IT. I LOVE YOU, CATHY. I MISS YOU SO MUCH. I’LL MISS YOU EVERY DAY OF MY LIFE. Submitted by: ROB office husband

CATHY WAS, IS AND WILL ALWAYS BE WITH US IN SPIRIT AND EVERYTHING WE DO IN OUR LIFE EVERYDAY. SHE WOULD WANT EVERYONE TO STAND BY EACH OTHER AS ONE, TO CONTINUEOUR LIFE THE WAY SHE WOULD HAVE WANTED YOU TOO AND SHE WOULD HAVE MADE IT POSSIABLE FOR YOU TO DO SO. TO LOVE HER DEARLY WITH OUR HEARTS, SPIRIT AND SOUL. THERE ARE NO WORDS ANYONE COULD TRY TO EXPLAIN A WOMAN WITH SUCH MAGNITUDE AND EXTREME VALUE TO SO MANY IN LIFE. AS FOR THOSE THAT FEEL THAT GOD HAS CHOOSEN A PATH FOR US YES'' HE HAS, BUT ONLY FOR THOSE WHO CHOOSE THAT PATH THAT HE CREATED AS FAMILYAND WILL FOLLOW IT, AS CATHY WAS ONE OF THEM. My name is Linda and my daughter Nicola worked with Cathy for one year at CSA; in almost every email and phone call I had from Nicky in that year, Cathy's name was mentioned. Cathy took Nicky under her wing and she blossomed, she made that year a positive experience. She took over my role and loved her like she was her real mother, and Nicky loved her back so much. We visited NYC in November 2004 and got to meet Cathy and all the staff at CSA, everyone was wonderful. At last I got to see Nic's Puerto Rican mom, she was everything we'd been told she was and I was happy to leave my daughter in her care, if she was good enough for Nicola to love then we loved her to, so thank you Cathy from the bottom of my heart, from your friends in England, there is a place here that will always be yours. Here is a poem I'd like to dedicate to you, I heard it a few years ago, I'm sure the poet who wrote it would not mind me sending you this.
Don't stand beside my grave and weep,
I am not there, I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond's glint on snow,
I am the sunlight on ripened grain,
I am the gentle autumn's rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush,
I am the uplifting rush of quiet birds in circled flight,
I am the stars that shine at night,
Don't stand beside my grave and cry,
I am not there, I did not die.
from Linda, Barry and Helen
CATHY
We were very blessed to have you in our lives
You were there for Paul and then for us
You always gave, but never took
You will never be forgotten
I know Paul met you at the heavenly gate
We miss you both, and always will
Love Donna & Teresa
